Carry the Sig Sauer P365 for one day, and you will know why so many people love it. The handgun has a terrific design for an everyday carry weapon. It doesn’t weigh much; has a small size; and gives you more shots than you would expect from such a compact 9mm Luger.

Before you commit to a Sig Sauer P365, take a few minutes to learn about the impression that its features made on us. If you decide that it’s the right everyday carry for you, pair it with one of our Kydex holsters to make the Sig P365 even more effective and comfortable.

The Sig Sauer P365 Micro-Compact Design

The perfect everyday carry gun needs a compact design that makes it easy to conceal and comfortable to carry. The Sig Sauer P365 meets those requirements easily with its:

  • 5.8-inch overall length.
  • 1.06-inch width.
  • 4.3-inch height.
  • 3.1-inch barrel length.

The gun only weighs 17.8 ounces. At that low weight, anyone can carry the P365 Nitron Micro-Compact. Even if you have a small frame, you carry the handgun without getting noticed. Few guns are as concealable as this one. Plus, the slight weight means you can carry it all day without getting tired. A large bottle of water weighs about the same as the P365, so you probably won’t even notice the weapon even after hours of carrying it.

More Shots Than You Would Expect From a Micro-Compact Gun

Despite its micro-compact design, the P365 has the kind of carrying capacity that you would expect from a full-size gun. The P365 Nitron Micro-Compact has a 10+1 carrying capacity. The stainless steel magazine’s bottom sits flush with the grip. Of course, 9mm bullets aren’t the most powerful option available. With up to 11 shots, though, you should have plenty of opportunities to secure dangerous situations.

If you have to reload, you can rely on the mag to slide out and in easily. If you’re left-handed, you can reverse the magazine release to meet your needs.

A Comfortable Grip for Small and Medium-Sized Hands

Sig Sauer gives the P365 a polymer grip with an ergonomic design that feels comfortable in most hands. The compact design makes it especially useful for people with small and medium-sized hands. Few carriers will find the firearm unwieldy.

Don’t ignore the P365 because you have large hands. The grip might not feel as good in your hand as it does in the hand of a smaller person. The curved design, however, makes it easy for you to hold the gun steady. You will have a place for your pinky to rest, but your palm might hang slightly under the grip.

Sights and Accuracy of the Sig Sauer P365

In our experience, the Sig Sauer P365 is an extremely accurate handgun. It helps that the gun absorbs most of the recoil from its 9mm bullets. After you squeeze the trigger, you can immediately adjust your aim for the next shot.

The Sig Sauer P365’s should also improve your accuracy in a variety of lighting conditions. The gun comes with Sig Sauer’s X-RAY3 sights. The feature uses a three-dot tritium system that works amazingly well in low light. The front sight glows at night and shines white during the day. The rear sights contain tritium that stays protected by steel. No matter how many times you fire the gun, recoil will not dislodge the front or rear sights.

Perhaps most impressively, the three-dot tritium system has a half-life of 12 years.

Other Versions of the Sig Sauer P365

If the Sig Sauer P365 Nitron Micro-Compact doesn’t sound like the right everyday carry, the company gives you a few variations on the model to consider.

The P365 SAS has the same dimensions and weight as the standard P365. The only difference is that you get a flush-mounted FT Bullseye Fiber-Tritium night sight for even better accuracy in low-light conditions.

The P365 XL gives you a larger size and the opportunity to carry up to 12+1 9mm bullets. It’s closer to a full-size gun with an overall length of 6.6 inches. Still, Sig Sauer keeps the design suitable for people who carry guns daily by keeping the width at 1.1 inches and the height at 4.8 inches. The gun weighs 20.7 ounces, which is only slightly heavier than the standard version.

If the larger size makes you worry that you can’t conceal the gun as easily, you can add a claw kit to your holster. The claw will angle the gun’s grip toward your body and reduce the imprint the weapon makes on your clothing. With a claw and CCW holster, it’s nearly impossible for someone to tell that you have a weapon.

The P365 XL Romeo Zero has the same design and features as the Sig Sauer P365 XL. The only difference is that you get a Romeo Zero red dot sight that can improve your accuracy. The Romeo Zero weighs less than half an ounce, so you won’t notice the extra weight. The red dot sight does stick up higher than the other sights, though, so you will need to make sure your holster can accommodate it.

Alternatives to the Sig Sauer P365

The Sig Sauer P365 is an excellent CCW. It isn’t the cheapest micro-compact gun, though. You can expect to spend about $600 on a new one.
