Wear Baggy Clothes

Baggy clothing does two important things for your CCW. First, the fabric used in baggy clothing tends to bunch up, which helps distract from your gun's printing. Second, adding an inch or two to your waistband will give you enough room to holster your weapon.

Of course, you can't always wear baggy clothing. You can go to the store wearing an oversized shirt, but you can't show up to a business meeting in a sloppy outfit.

Choose Button-up Shirts

When you need to wear nicer clothes for an event, such as a meeting or a wedding, you know you can't wear baggy clothes that could give someone a negative impression of you. But wearing tailored clothes doesn't mean that you must leave your CCW at home.

Wearing a button-up shirt will make it much easier for you to conceal any weapon that you holster near the small of your back. Look for a tapered shirt that will bunch slightly when you tuck it into your pants. An IWB holster should stay concealed even when you take off your jacket.

Button-up shirts during informal social situations can also improve concealed carry for skinny guys. You don't have to tuck in the shirt to hide your weapon. Instead, you can let the bottom hang over your waistline. It works well for most thin guys.

Get a Gun Belt

As a skinny guy, you probably don't have very large hips. You might also have a small rear end. Without many curves, your holstered gun could weigh down your waistband. Even if the gun and holster stay in place when you walk, they could slip when you enter a dangerous situation that requires quick movement.

Wearing a gun belt keeps everything in the correct location, so you can reach down and pull out your CCW when needed.

Take care when you buy a new gun belt, though. Avoid nylon versions. Nylon tends to stretch, which makes it harder to conceal your weapon and forces you to buy replacements when they stop working. It's easier and more affordable to spend a little more money on one well-made leather belt than several nylon belts that deform quickly.
