Getting the right handgun grip can improve your accuracy, reduce fatigue, and even improve the look of your weapon. We’ve seen a lot of excellent handgun grips that we would recommend to anyone who wants to upgrade a CCW or open carry weapon. These three stand out as some of our favorites, though.

Hogue HandALL Universal Full-Size Grip Sleeve

The Hoque HandALL Universal Full-Size Grip Sleeve finds an easy spot in our top favorite handgun grips. Most importantly, it fits a huge range of handguns, including popular models by:

  • Beretta
  • Colt
  • Glock
  • Ruger
  • Smith & Wesson
  • Sig Sauer
  • Taurus

The flexibility means that you don’t have to purchase multiple grips for all of your guns. Unless you collect obscure handguns, the Hogue grip sleeve will probably fit all of your weapons.

The grip sleeve gives you a soft, textured surface that will keep your hand relaxed without letting the gun slip. Unlike metal and wood, it has some give, so it won’t wear out your hand and wrist muscles when you squeeze tightly during an altercation. Thanks to the textured material, sweaty palms won’t hurt your accuracy.

There is one critical warning about the HandALL full-size grip. Do not use it with guns that have grip safeties. If you carry a Colt .45 or a gun modeled on the Colt .45, this is not the right handgun grip for you.

Also, you can pick up one of these grips for less than $15, so it will fit any budget.

Talon Handgun Grips

We love Talon handgun grips because they’re effective and easy to install. Talon makes two kinds of grips. We prefer the rubber material option a little more than the granulate material, but that’s a personal choice.

Talon’s grips attach to your gun like a stick. You start by removing all of the bullets for safety. Then, you clean the weapon’s surface and apply the grip. The adhesive side will latch onto the gun’s grip like concrete.

The “sticker” approach might make it sound like you can use any Talon grip for your gun. That’s not the case! Talon makes unique grips for each handgun model. That way, you get a custom fit that always feels good in your hand. The custom designs also mean that you can choose handgun grips that make your weapon look better than ever. If you’re going to carry a gun, it might as well look awesome, right?

Expect to spend up to $25 for Talon grips. They’re worth every penny.

FoxX Handgun Grips

FoxX handgun grips work like Talon grips. They’re adhesive grips that you apply to your gun. Some people say that they prefer Foxx grips because they have a softer feel. Again, that’s a personal preference that you may or may not agree with.

The facts are that FoxX makes grips for a huge range of handguns, and they only cost about $14.

A handgun grip can make your weapon more useful, but you also need a holster that provides comfort and security. Check out our line of IWB and OWB holsters to find the one that matches your favorite CCWs.
